my other side

now that the busy season has ended i have some time to share (in case you didn't know already) my "other side".  well, besides stalking pinterest for super awesome ideas.  lol!  i crochet and knit in my "free" time.  don't really know where i can get free time.  but the best thing about knitting and crocheting is that you can start and leave it numerous times and pick it right back up and start working again.  and it's so therapeutic for me.  ahhhhh!  sorry kids, i can't hear fighting over my needles! lol!  but anywho.  i make hats and bows and what not for newborns (and i can do bigger stuff too) and sell my work on etsy and other photogs i meet on fb.  :)  and sometimes they show their work to me.  i think it is so cool to work with other ladies all along the country! and these photogs are seriously awesome and so sweet.  so go check out their pages whenever you can:

the H family {high point | family photographer}

happy new year everyone! :)

i hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season.  personally, i'm not to big on resolutions because i try (key word: try) to do those types of things (i.e. be a better person, more positive, better mother and wife, better photographer and business person, lose weight, yada, yada, yada) every day.  but if you have resolutions, i hope that you stick to them ;) and fulfill your dreams.

so anywho, i have done some price structure changes for the new year.  i did this for a number of reasons.  i have different clients wanting different needs.  so i tried to create different packages to meet all types of demands.  some want just a few images, some want more, some want prints, some just digital files.  so, i am gonna try this out for a while, and it is subject to change depending on feedback.  :)

so thank you to all my clients, supporters and fans for allowing me to do this.  and also thanks to my lovely family who allow me to follow my passions and i will help you follow yours.  love you all.

carrying on... so in december i met the H family :)  and let me tell you, december has been wild with it's weather.  it was so warm before doing this photo shoot and the day of, it was chilly :(  but we pushed thru.  the kiddos were such champs.  i loved some of their wardrobe selections :)  i had to wait til after xmas to post these, since of them were gifts.  but i'm happy to show you now :)

these are my favorties :)  hope you all enjoy!  xoxo

i'm so embarrassed!

I must admit that I am so embarrassed when I saw the actual date of my last post.  July 31st!?!?!?!  I am ashamed that I have not blogged anything since then. :(  First, it makes me so sad that time has flown by so quickly, but i get even more sad that i didn't capture it along the way.  bad kelly!  so.  i am so sorry for that 1 person (me) that reads my blog! LOL!

anywho, that being said, 2012 is approaching.  I am been so blessed this past year with wonderful clients, meeting new ones along the way and doing multiple sessions with others.  i must say i am very fortunate!  i have been doing this for year now!  wow!  starting in january, i am going to do a different price structure.  i want to offer different packages  i am not someone that works easily with a lot of choice, but at the same time that is what i need.  so i want to offer that.  please look forward to new session information soon! :)

loves,

kelly

the n family :) {winston-salem: family lifestyle photographer}

a little over a week ago, i had the utmost pleasure of photographic the lovely n family.  this family has so much grace about them.  gorgeous couple with super adorable kids.  mrs. n takes me back to the 50-60's with her presence.  he is in the army and was home on a little reprieve before heading back to korea.  but he will be home after the new year and then they will go to fort campbell, ky.  but they are so sweet and loving.  and they wanted pics of the 2 kiddos and the two adults and then the family.  love that.  they really focused everything on the family as a whole unit, as well as showing their patriotism for their county.  thank you for all that you do for your country n family.  here is a little sneak of them.  hope you all enjoy!!!  :)

the super lovely p family!

i seriously believe in the 5 degress or less of seperation!!!  the p family was referred from a good friend of mine!   but we also have other aquaintences in common, an old college roommate, and her husband used to work the same engine (gfd) as my neighbor!  such a small world.

we met up at the bicenteniel park in greensboro  it was another hot and sticky summer day but lovely as the sun was going down. :)  mama p was so prepared.  she fed the boys in the car before the shoot (with no clothes on).  so smart.  the boys had full bellies and they didn't mess up their clothes in the process! lol!  and this family was a dream to work with.  they were sooooo laid back and just let the boys run around and have a good time.  my kind of shoot.  we got some super cute candids in the process, my fav's!  and those boys were so, so good.  the baby is almost one and he is super fearless!!!

so happy to have the pleasure of meeting them and taking some family pictures in the process!  xoxo

miss m...senior no more!

so first let me apologize for not blogging like i should be. :(  i enjoy blogging and letting everyone see what is new and going on in CKP land.  and thank you all for being a part of it.

so a couple weeks ago, i met the lovely miss m.  let me just saw that this was a photographers dream.  a lake, horses, trucks, fields of flowers, dogs, and sooo much more.  i had such a good time.  miss m is so nice and sweet and so pretty!  first we drove the golf carts to the lake to do some shots.  i commented on how pretty the color of the lake was and what do you know...her dad dyed it for the photo shoot for her!  love it.  then we drove the carts to a place by a fence and then we travelled along the fields, did some pics with her granddad's old truck, and her boyfriend, dogs and ended up with her dad using a fork lift to lift her in the biiiiiiiiiiig tree!!!  soooo much fun!

anywho, i call her 'senior no more' cause she graduated a couple weeks ago and will be attending the land of the gamecocks in the fall.  good luck with all you do m!

one thing that i love to see is if my clients and i have the same tastes in photos.  i love to recieve orders to see if they are a match.  i often think about the vision of the photo in my favorite ones.  one of my fav's was the top left picture by the lake.  she ordered blank cards to use for 'thank you's' and for stationary.  just a reminder to all my clients: i can create invites, cards, or any other special orders you may have!  just let me know what you are looking for.

the c family | christine kelly photography {greensboro family photographer}

it is such a small world we live in!  i first met mrs. c over the phone and we got to chatting... and you won't believe this, but we went to the same elementary school at the same time!  how crazy is that???  and they have extended family that still live in jacksonville.  crazy! :)  anywho, we met up at the greensboro bicenntinel gardens.  i love that place, it's so lush and pretty.  and add a super cute and sweet family, and it's was a great time!  baby e is six months old and he is sooooo sweet.  he never once got upset.  and he has got the prettiest brown eyes.  here are a couple of my fav's.  thanks again C fam for letting me have the opportunity to take pics of your beautiful family!!!! :)
